Multiple web browsers may be installed on your computer. Other software applications on your computer, such as email clients or document viewers, may use a different browser than the one you normally use to access the web. Also, certain file types may be configured to open with a different web browser. To block the unwanted websites, each and every browser has different methods.
There are many steps to follow to block the sites/pages, but it varies for all browsers. No need to use different steps to follow for each and every browser. We can also block the particular webpage in any browser. Here is the way to use. Let us see ..

If you use any Windows OS, then you can block any of the webpage from whatever browser you use.

To activate this method, GO to start button-> All Programs->Accessories->Command Prompt-> Click this options.
Now it shows the Dos Prompt, in that type the following Command
                  notepad C:/Windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts   and press Enter.
One notepad will open in the screen. In that screen it shows   127.0.0.1 localhost.
Below this 127.0.0.1 localhost  line, Enter the webpage which you want to block followed by 127.0.0.1.
For example do you want to block youtube then use  127.0.0.1.www.youtube.com, then you cant open the youtube page in your system.
You can whatever webpages you want to block. After entering all the pages name save the notepad and close it. Now restart the system once and use it. Now you cant access the webpages from any of the browser installed in the system.
